Driving license from your home country
I suspect you might already have a driving license from your home country and most likely you will be able to use it to drive in Canada for certain period of time after you arrive (for example, 90 days if you reside in Ontario). If you want to use your foreign driving license, you should think about getting the International Driving Permit in your home country.
Otherwise, I suggest you start the process of obtaining your Canadian driving licence as soon as possible. Keep in mind, that valid driving licence is your official Canadian ID that you can present at any establishment.
When you immigrate to a new country like Canada, communication strategies that work in your home country and ones that work in the Canadian workplace will differ drastically. And even if adjusting to the Canadian workplace culture is not worrying you the least bit, you should always take some time to understand the new environment that you’re about to dip into.
