Canada is experiencing a growing need for medical radiation technologists, and the shortage is expected to grow as many in the occupation are going to retire in the near future and because the growing aging population requires more health services. You are allowed to start, or even complete, the credential assessment process before you move to Canada. The Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) is the national professional association and certifying body that will review and asses your education to determine if it is comparable to a Canadian program.
